About the team
As part of the Inventory & Procurement team, you will be a part of the team consisting of three buyers and one inventory & procurement analyst - where you report to the Head of Global Inventory & Procurement.
You will be responsible for building and executing the strategy for our global inventory position, ensuring that we have the correct stock levels that match our consumer and brand expectations to our financial ambition.
GANT is currently on a new journey with a centralized buying & merchandising function, where we together are working towards the vision of unified commerce. This role will be a key function in the process to create a seamless merchandise flow through our inventory.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the total stock on hand, open to buy, and prioritization of sales across sales channels
- Set and monitor optimal stock levels of seasonal, running styles, and outgoing stock on a global level, across all of our markets
- Support in exit strategies and actions for different scenarios regarding stock
- Work with a demand plan and market seasonal sales forecast and turn it into a supply plan and OTB plan, based on the optimal stock level set by the Inventory Planner
- Drive forecasting sales on stock on omnichannel to support the S&OP process
- Close collaboration with global teams as well as regional teams, and Omni channels in order to pick up and act on any changes in demand, supply, and OTB
- Create season analysis and ad hoc reports to support the business such as weekly, monthly sales and inventory reports, and highlight risks and opportunities
- Support in high-level strategic decisions regarding investments, supply & demand, capacity, and costs
- Collaborate with special projects as assigned and ad hoc tasks
Your skills
- Minimum 1 year of working in a similar role
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant area
- Strong systems understanding
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills; computer proficiency with Microsoft applications
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Clear communication and interpersonal skills
- Love working with numbers
- Ability to employ critical thinking skills on demanding deadlines
- Fluently in English both written and spoken
Bonus points
- Plus if you are a change agent with experience in project leading in a changing business model
- Experience in working with wholesale, retail, e-com, and outlet on a global level
- Knowledge of inventory management, shrink, and profit margins
